Diesel Technicians / Mechanics

FOUR DAY WORK WEEK & PAY UP TO $34 PER HOUR

North Jersey Truck Center (est. 1956), a full service dealership, is looking for experienced full/time Diesel Engine Mechanics to work on Freightliner and Mitsubishi trucks, Sprinter Vans, and Detroit Diesel and Cummins Engines.

Experience can be minimal (one year) to very skilled.

Job Requirements:

  • Electronic trouble shooting

  • Detroit engine experience

  • Transmission / driveline

  • CDL license A or B

Experienced Truck Sales Account Representative

​North Jersey Truck Center, an Elite Support Freightliner Dealer and the oldest, most stable truck dealer in New Jersey is looking for Experienced Sales Account representatives. Our blue chip customer base consists of every industry that moves or delivers a product, from the gasoline in your car, to the food you eat, to the Amazon products delivered to your door.


Our product line covers every weight class from the Freightliner Sprinter van, Freightliner medium and heavy duty trucks to the Freightliner custom chassis and Mitsubishi Fuso trucks.  

This is a full time position


​The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3-5 years medium and/or heavy duty truck sales experience with class 6-8 vehicles.


Essential Functions:

  • Generate new customers and develop existing accounts to increase truck sales and maintain overall customer satisfaction

  • Build strong customer relationships, loyalty, and retention by delivering exceptional customer service through our Elite Dealership program

  • Technical expertise and review of customer requirements and specifications to meet customer requirements

  • Collaborate with internal/external resources when the need arises to meet customer needs and capitalize on opportunities

  • Work with sales team to ensure on time deliveries and inventory allocations

  • Expand existing account opportunities and consultative applications

  • Actively participate in company initiatives and support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting process improvements

  • Other duties as required

  • Strong organization, communication, and telephone skills

​The ideal candidate would have experience in a mechanical or heavy equipment/truck transportation background, or related power transmission field. We are willing to train the right individual.

  • Build strong customer relationships, attend bid spec reviews, bid openings, write specs for Municipalities/Government agencies, gain loyalty, and retention by delivering exceptional customer service through our Elite Dealership program

  • Technical expertise and review of customer needs and specifications to meet customer requirements

  • Collaborates with Body Companies and Upfitters as resources when the need arises to, write specs, meet customer needs, and capitalize on opportunities

  • Cultivate Municipal/Government account opportunities through consultative applications and attending trade shows

  • Actively participate in company initiatives and support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting process improvements

  • Other duties as required

Used Truck Sales

Used Truck Sales Representative 

North Jersey Truck Center is seeking an experienced salesperson to sell our used light, medium and heavy-duty (class 3-8) trucks. Come work for the largest dealer network in the country and sell one of the most respected truck brands in the industry! This is the ideal opportunity for a bright, eager, motivated individual with sales experience. This is a full time position

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct all transactions and activities in a highly ethical and moral manner

  • Provide superior customer service with a focus on providing customers and prospects with accurate information in a timely manner

  • Prospect for new customers in a manner prescribed by management

  • Maintain client and prospect databases

  • Follow departmental procedures in completing truck paperwork using available systems tools

  • Develop and maintain a minimum database to include both physical and electronic addresses of 500 prospects and customers that are entered into the corporate database

 

Job Requirements:

Rental & Leasing

CDL Yard Driver

Our sister company Moretran Lease Services is seeking an experienced CDL Class A driver to join our winning team in Elmwood Park, NJ.

This is a full time position

Essential Functions:

 

  • Move trucks in and out of the shop

  • Local pick up of parts

  • Clean trucks returned from rental customers

  • Test drive trucks

  • Miscellaneous tasks from the Service Department

 

Job Requirements:

  • CDL Class A

  • Drive a manual transmission (10 speed and occasional 13 speed) and possess a clean driving record

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening

  • Speak fluent english
