As of December 18, 2017 the trucking industry faced a new form of regulation and driving restrictions. Electronic Logging Device's (ELDs) are now a mandatory item for a majority of the truckers on the road today. If you do more than 150 miles daily, and own a 2000 or newer truck your drivers, or you, are required to have one of these ELDs on board.
North Jersey Truck Center has put together a list of frequently asked questions regarding the Electronic Logging Device mandate and what you need to know in order to avoid the hefty fines that some drivers are already facing. You can view these FAQs here: www.njtruck.com/elds.
You can find the top three ELDs on the market all at North Jersey Truck Center's enormous parts store and warehouse located at 236 Route 46 East, Saddle Brook, NJ. If you have more questions regarding the ELD mandate feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and NJTC will get back to you in a timely manner.
Make sure to stay compliant and don't risk getting any tickets. New York State Thruway has already been issuing fines for ELD violations
